Operation Checks

• AF (Focus Confirmation Compatibility): OK. Confirms proper electronic communication for in-camera focus confirmation with compatible Nikon bodies, as expected for an Ai-s lens.
• Helicoid: OK. The focus helicoid turns smoothly and evenly throughout its range, allowing for accurate focusing.
• Aperture: OK. Aperture blades open and close snappily and correctly, providing accurate exposure control.

Optics (Lens Elements)

• Dirt: None.
• Dust: Slight internal dust, typical for a vintage lens. This does not affect image quality.
• Haze: None. The optical elements are clear.
• Fungus: None.
• Scratch: None on front, rear, or internal elements.
• Other: A very slight oil stain is present on the aperture blades. IMPORTANT: Our tests confirm this stain currently does not impede the smooth opening/closing of the blades, nor does it affect exposure accuracy. We disclose this transparently as a known issue that can sometimes worsen over very long-term use.
