Refund policy

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase from Japan Retro Camera Forest (His50s LLC).

Return Eligibility

We accept returns only if the item received significantly differs from the description provided in the listing. As all items are used vintage cameras and lenses, minor cosmetic wear consistent with age and use is not grounds for return.

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Consumable items (batteries, film, etc.)
  • Items damaged after delivery due to customer handling
  • Items returned without prior approval

Return Window

Return requests must be submitted within 14 days of the delivery date. Requests submitted after this period will not be accepted.

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us within 14 days of delivery:

  • Include your order number, photos of the item, and a description of the issue.

We will respond within 2 business days. Do not ship the item back without receiving approval from us first.

Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped, item significantly not as described due to our mistake). In such cases, we will cover the return shipping cost.

Items must be securely packed to prevent damage during return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method (PayPal or credit card via Shopify Payments).
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.

No Exchanges

As all items are one-of-a-kind used goods, we do not offer exchanges. Approved returns will be refunded only.
